Regenerative Services

regenerative medicine

Regenerative Medicine is one of the new frontiers in helping restore function and mobility back into worn out joints in the body.  These are substances that are taken from a  young mothers placenta where regenerative substances are harvested, processed and injected into joints.

Wharton's jelly is the primary substance that is used in Regenerative medicine.  This umbilical cord tissue is shown to be structurally similar to articular cartilage and other soft tissues throughout the body. The main function is to replace missing or damaged issue in the patient, applied directly to the defect or injured area, in soft tissues. They are applied via syringe in ligament, muscle or cartilage tears.

Evaluation                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      A thorough evaluation is performed which includes x-rays or MRI of the damaged or worn area to determine the degree of damage and if you are a candidate for this therapy.  Wharton's jelly allografts are connective tissue supplements designed to replace missing or damaged tissue in the patient.  If missing or damaged tissue is identified after imaging, you may be a candidate for Wharton's jelly application.

These allographic tissues will immediately create more space in the damaged joint and become regenerative in nature over time.

This procedure is minimally uncomfortable, equivalent to a steroid injection.

Who is a candidate?

Those who suffer from the following problems may be a candidate.                Any age group, there is no age limit.

*Degenerative knees, hips, ankles, shoulders, elbows and wrists                                                                                                                                                                                      *Partial muscle tears in shoulder                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            *Degenerative disks in the spine

Is it safe?                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    Yes! There has been no known graft vs. host interactions nor drug interactions with this product.  Our physician will determine if this product is safe for you.  Tod date, no adverse events have been reported contributable to these products in over 50k applications.
